About Us

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to you from SK Ranch and Livestock. We are a family-owned and operated ranch nestled in Mountainous Cache Valley, in Northern Utah. Horses and livestock are an essential part of our lives as well as a part of our heritage and we hope they will continue to be for many generations to come.  We use our horses on the ranch for checking cows, doctoring, sorting, moving, calving, fencing, branding and in the show ring. We’ve sifted and weeded out the bloodlines that we feel haven’t worked out well. We believe in the bloodlines we’re breeding, we've traveled thousands of miles putting together the mares and bloodlines that are now producing for us.  We guarantee we have a horse that will fit your personality, style, or purpose.

The focus for our horses has been the foundation bloodlines that have proven themselves on the ranch and in the rodeo arena. Grays Starlight, Peppy San Badger, Mr San Peppy, Smart Chic Olena, Smart Little Lena, Doc Olena, Doc Bar, Peptoboonsmal, Mr Baron Red, Mr Gunsmoke, Two Eyed Jack, Three Bars, Lucky Blanton, Leo San, Joe Reed, Old Sorrel, Driftwood, and Joe Hancock breeding make-up the majority of our bloodlines.

As part of the Ranch we raise cattle, the genetics of our cattle are as good as you will find anywhere. Our 300 Angus Black, Red, and Black Baldy mother cows consistently produce animals with a moderate frame, good temperament, and exceptional feedlot performance. We keep our own replacement heifers and purchase the best quality Black and Red Angus bulls available. Our show steers compete with high standards and great showmanship, they are heavy and beautiful.  Please call and let us help you match with the best horse or show steer that will work for you.

Ranch Dogs

We take pride in the quality and conformation of the ranch dogs we raise.  We love our pups and want them to go to homes where they will be used and loved.  Our purebred Collies and Australian Shepherds come from Champion Bloodlines.  Please view our available or future litters for your next ranch dog.
